Icarus has plenty of interesting places to explore. One type of location that players will surely want to seek out is caves. Caves offer a multitude of valuable ore and can also function as temporary bases. That said, caves aren't always the easiest to locate.
To find caves in Icarus, players will need to search along the mountainside, below ridges, and underwater. There are two types of caves you can discover: open caves that can clearly be seen and hidden caves that are blocked by a wall of minable stone. Caves remain static in Icarus, so players can always return to them on future trips to the area. Beware of hostile mobs in caves, though.

Hidden caves are found in the same areas as open caves, but players will have to mine through the wall of stone blocking them. One thing to look out for is a flat stone with a few edges in the stone. This is a sign that you have discovered a hidden cave. Simply mine the stone to enter the cave.
Valuable ore such as iron, gold, copper, and more can be found in caves. These ores can be mined with a pickaxe, and many will be needed for future recipes. Now, get out there and find some caves, prospector!
