What are Sundry Splendors and where do you find them?

One unfamiliar NPC new and returning players to Final Fantasy XIV might notice is the Sundry Splendors vendor. Dotted around the realm of Eorzea, these vendors offer weapons and armor. But what exactly are these NPCs, and what do they sell?

Sundry Splendors are new NPCs in the three main city hubs, Limsa Lominsa, New Gridania, and Ul’dah, selling items from Rowena’s House of Splendors. These are purchasable items with Gatherer’s and Crafter’s Scrips and Tomestones of Poetics.

This includes crafting and gathering gear and rewards and Disciple of War and Disciple of Magic gear usually only available at Mor Dhona, the Rising Stones.

These are all items for level 50 characters. They include:

• Item Level 55 Crafter Gear
• Crafter Master Recipes
• Crafting Materia
• Item Level 55 Gatherer Gear
• Gatherer Materia
• Item Level 100-114 Primal Gear
• Item Level 110 Gerolt’s Masterworks Weapons
• Item Level 130 Iron Works Gear

Sundry Splendors vendors are incredibly useful for players playing through the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn story for the first time or those leveling up an alternative class. They allow you to quickly access top-end level 50 gear.

It’s equally useful for crafters, who no longer have to journey to Mor Dhona every time they need a new Master Recipe. Essentially Sundry Splendors are NPCs added to the game to streamline the early game for every class.
