Paris World is back! | Roblox Paris World New Year’s Update

After nearly three months of experience downtime and just in time to celebrate the New Year, Paris World is finally back up! In Oct. 2021, Paris Hilton released her first-ever Roblox experience as a collaboration with DASH studios that featured private pink jets, a zoo, a tour of Hilton's mansion, a massive VIP concert stage, and much, much more.

Unfortunately for Hilton, however, this experience was littered with free assets, meaning that Roblox hackers had easy access to enter the behind-the-scenes of Paris World and change its code—leading to one of the worst experience launch events in Roblox history.

These hackers added offensive flags and music, unblocked all chat capabilities, and generally released chaos into an experience originally meant to represent Paris Hilton not only as a content creator but also as a brand. This massive flop led to waves of backlash on Twitter from annoyed and frustrated Roblox fans, criticizing Hilton for her lack of preparation, action, and accountability. In reality, the business mogul likely had no idea that her experience would be transformed into a beacon for viruses and manipulation. After all, hackers take pride in their ability to appear out of thin air and destroy whatever they can get their hands on.

Because of this, Paris World was removed after only a few hours of going live. Players were promptly kicked from the experience, and it has been private ever since, until now. On Dec. 28, 2021, the international news organization Reuters posted an article in which they discussed Paris' new plans for Paris World in a brief interview with the socialite herself.

In this article, Hilton explains everything that her experience has to offer this time around—staples from the original Paris World, including the clothing boutique, DASH radio studio, minigame area, and car dealership have all returned. She continues the interview by voicing her encouragement of the metaverse, saying that it's truly changing how people can approach life.

“For me, the metaverse is somewhere that you can do everything you can do in real life in the digital world,” said Hilton. “Not everybody gets to experience that, so that’s what we’ve been working together..."

Similar to the original Paris World, there is also a live concert planned that players can attend for an entire weekend. Starting Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, players can join this experience for the chance to see Paris Hilton DJ her own live concert and countdown to the New Year. There's no official start date listed for this concert at the moment, though it will likely be an all-day affair that leads into the New Year's Eve countdown later in the evening.

For those hoping to take home some free, Paris Hilton-themed avatar items, you're unfortunately out of luck once more, at least for now. There are a handful of purchasable clothes inside of Paris World that players can also view in the Avatar Shop. Some of the titles of these items seem to insinuate that there's a way to obtain them by completing quests, but that hasn't been confirmed at the time of this article's publication.

It's not known if Paris World will remain open after the New Year's celebrations have finished, but the assumption is that it will. Based on the experience's description, it seems as though Hilton and her team have a lot planned for Paris World soon.
