Health regeneration is a core mechanic in Far Cry 6, just as it is in every other game in the franchise. Although your character's health regenerates overtime, Far Cry 6 gives players the option to heal voluntarily. Here's how you can heal in Far Cry 6 on different platforms:
- Keyboard - Z
- PlayStation Controller - Triangle
- Xbox Controller - Y
The healing action can be performed by pressing and holding the input on controllers or by pressing the specified keybind on PC. You can change the Heal button to your desired input in the game's settings.

Furthermore, you can also put out fire by using the Heal control in Far Cry 6. This action is important, as the flames take away a chunk of your health if you don't douse them immediately. This may also lead to Dani's death, which you probably don't want to happen.
At the bottom of the HUD, you'll see a health bar that displays exactly how much health you have. Next to it, there should be a plus symbol with a number alongside it. This denotes how many Health Packs you have and can use at any given time.
Once all your Health Packs have been utilized, the game will refill one over time. You can also craft health items at Workbenches and find them by looting places such as FND bases and enemy corpses.
