How to fix Fortnite audio issues on Xbox

Fortnite rarely has audio issues, but players using Xbox consoles have recently been reporting major audio issues that make the game basically unplayable. The good news about this is that there is nothing wrong with your Xbox. The bad news is that there is no easy way to solve the issue other than by waiting.

The official Fortnite Status Twitter account acknowledged the issue in a Tweet (seen below) and has announced that they're working on a fix. However, there isn't a way to solve the problem until this fix comes.

Some players suggest there are a few basic troubleshooting options that can help. One option is to leave the match and queue back up. Another option is to force Fortnite to shut down and restart or reboot the entire console. However, these seem to temporarily fix the problem, as the audio glitch can happen again as soon as you start your next match.

For the most part, it doesn't seem to be an issue for all players, and it can usually be worked around by restarting (albeit temporarily). For those people it affects — as of now, it looks like the only way to fix the audio issue is to wait.
