Fastest way to level your Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Whether you’re cycle evolving Pokémon or grinding them to level 100, it’s no secret that you want to do the process faster. However, breaking rocks and shaking trees only give you so much EXP—even the EXP you get from defeating random Pokémon in the overworld aren’t enough. Is there a secret to quickly grind the levels you need?

To level up your Pokémon fast, find Alpha Pokémons you’re confident about battling and defeat them repeatedly. Alpha Pokémon give out a lot of EXP and sometimes even EXP candies and other rare items. They respawn, so don't worry about permanently losing your opportunity to catch them or something!

Despite being very high-leveled, Pokémon battles in Legends are a much different experience. In fact, with the right team, you can beat an Alpha Pokémon that’s twice the average level of your current one.

Tips for battling Alpha Pokémon

  • Type advantages and disadvantages have a huge impact on the amount of damage you deal and receive. Make sure that at least two of your Pokémon is optimized for the upcoming battle.
  • Catch them unaware. You get a free turn if you sneak and throw your Pokémon onto their back.
  • Open your turn order. If there’s a chance for you to get a double turn using Agile Style, for example, take advantage of it.

    • Alternatively, you can look for satchels during your expeditions and have the merit points that you receive exchanged for EXP candies at the Trading Post. Defeating Alpha Pokémon is a faster method though!
